ROLE SUMMARY
The EWF seeks a Business Development Manager, Leadership & Development to oversee business development and sales execution for the EWF Leadership Academy programs and other EWF offerings. The EWF Leadership Academy offers global programs to equip women and men with self-awareness, resiliency, and skills to compete for critical jobs while accelerating their career trajectory.
Working in conjunction with the Director of Corporate Partnerships and the Chief Leadership Development Officer, the Business Development Manager will support driving the revenue growth of the EWF Leadership Academy and other programs through both revenue growth from existing EWF Benefactors and new business from companies outside of the Benefactor community. In addition, the Business Development Manager, Leadership & Development will work with the EWF Marketing Team to help plan Leadership Academy and sponsorship-related communications via email and social media, website, and marketing projects.
This is a remote role, located EST/CST time zone.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop a go-to-market strategy that results in a pipeline of Leadership Academy prospects and move that pipeline forward to contract:
Build a network of senior level leaders to introduce the EWF Leadership Academy
Facilitate video conference calls with potential clients for needs assessment, sharing of information about the EWF Leadership Academy, and continued follow-ups to move to sale
Manage pipeline and create reporting in CRM
Complete annual contract updates
Assist with pricing evaluations and recommendations for EWF Leadership programs and offerings
Closely collaborate with the Programs Team, enabling seamless transitions of Leadership Academy sales to execution and ensuring an outstanding client experience
Develop Security vendor industry as BD opportunity for all EWF services (Benefactor, Sponsorship, Leadership & Development)
Actively participate in and contribute to annual strategic planning and goal setting regarding Leadership Academy sales and provide input to organizational strategic planning activities related to EWF Leadership programs and offerings
Implement functional strategies in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Under the guidance of the Executive Team, develop and execute Leadership Academy sales strategies and communications, while being a proactive community ambassador on behalf of the organization
Cultivate a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that supports the organization's values and strategic plan
Qualifications
Required skills and qualifications:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in sales/BD role
Experience selling Leadership Development training programs or consulting services to corporate clients
Established relationships in Leadership and Development, Human Resources, and Talent Development and the executive suite across a range of industries and company sizes
Ability to strategize, plan, and execute for assigned area of business and in alignment with strategic goals of the organization, including tracking progress and successfully delivering against set goals
Skilled in building relationships, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and exceptional writing skills across various audiences (executives, members, stakeholders, team)
Ability to think critically and plan, synchronize, and execute tasks with a diverse set of individuals in different roles
Results-driven, self-reliant, with strong business ethics
Technically proficient in various platforms (Microsoft Office Suite, project management/CRM tools)
Ability to work efficiently from remote home office
Some travel required (<10%)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation for this role has a range of $75,000-$80,000 + commission. The compensation package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k match, and generous PTO including sabbatical time and parental leave, as well as short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and FSA.
