ABOUT THE COMMIT PARTNERSHIP
Founded in 2012, The Commit Partnership (“Commit” or the “Partnership”) has become the largest regional educational and workforce backbone organization in the nation based on either budget, staff or scope overseen. A collective impact organization comprised of over 200 partners across Dallas County and the state of Texas, the Partnership is supported by a dedicated staff of 60+ talented professionals charged with wisely investing a budget exceeding $40 million annually, all in the quest of an aspirational vision - to make Dallas County an inclusive and prosperous region, where economic opportunity for every child is shared equally, rather than predicted by race, place and/or socioeconomic status.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Commit Partnership is seeking a passionate systems leader strongly committed to Commit’s vision and mission to increase Dallas County’s living wage attainment to 50% by the year 2040. As a Chief Regional Impact Officer (“CRIO”), this leader will be responsible for providing critical oversight of the organization’s ever-growing focus on post-secondary readiness, access, completion aligned with workforce demands within a county which, despite its perpetual standing as a U.S. leader in job growth, also ranks 8th in the nation in the number of its young adults ages 25-34 living in poverty. Given the position’s importance in helping drive area economic mobility, the CRIO role will report directly to the organization’s Founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Todd Williams, and will also serve on Commit’s senior-level Executive Team, which is responsible for making key organizational decisions within Commit’s distributed leadership approach. This role provides a great opportunity for an experienced individual reflecting deep analytical and implementation expertise (combined with a track record of creative, strategic problem solving and a nimble, innovative, and results-oriented approach to the work), to play a critical external-facing role within a recognized national leader in systemic educational and economic mobility improvement.
