Marymount University (Arlington, VA), one of the nation’s most innovative and vibrant Catholic institutions, invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations of candidates for the Associate Vice President, Human Resources. Marymount seeks an accomplished human resources leader who will build on the existing momentum and forge new opportunities to advance the goals of the University.
The Associate Vice President (AVP) is responsible for the leadership and administration of the day-to-day operations of Human Resources (HR). The AVP is a member of the Extended Cabinet and serves as an expert advisor to senior leaders and plays a critical role in the implementation of new HR processes and applications.
We are seeking a high-energy, service-driven individual with proven excellence in developing and executing strategies for HR, including, but not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, retention and engagement, HR compliance, diversity and inclusion, benefits and compensation. Successful candidates will be hands-on, proactive, progressive, and forward-thinking in their approaches, and have a strong passion for people and process improvement. They will have a breadth of experience in HR functions, preferably with a strong acumen in recruitment, total rewards, and compensation. This work establishes, enforces, and evaluates human resources policies, processes, and best practices to enable the university to deliver an incredible employee experience.
Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The new AVP will begin in the role in Fall 2023.
Salary is commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $150-180k with a generous benefits package. This is an on-campus position.
