University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), a $24 billion health care provider and insurer, is seeking a President, UPMC Hamot and President of the Northwest Pennsylvania and New York Region.
This individual is responsible for a four-hospital market that currently includes:
- UPMC Hamot, in Erie, PA, is a 458-bed hospital offering inpatient and outpatient services, and serves as a regional, tertiary referral hub and Level II Trauma Center.
- UPMC Chautauqua, in Jamestown, NY, is a 277-bed hospital and is a nonprofit, community health care provider.
- UPMC Kane, in Kane, PA is a 30-bed facility offering emergency, inpatient, and outpatient medical and surgical services to the greater Kane community.
- UPMC Northwest, in Seneca, Pa., is a full-service community hospital offering inpatient care, emergency services, inpatient and outpatient surgery, and a range of specialty services. The hospital has 96 private rooms.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Health Services Division this individual is responsible for determining the strategic direction of assigned hospitals and related business entities. In conjunction with the local executive team, the President sets policy and monitors status of the institution focusing on operations, finances, human resources, and strategic relationships with the Board, Medical Staff, community, and other stakeholders.
