Koya partnered with Le Moyne College on its Senior Director of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion search. Our work resulted in the appointment of Nisha Banerjee.
Located in Syracuse, N.Y., Le Moyne College is an independent college established by the Jesuits in 1946 to provide students with a values-based, comprehensive academic program designed to foster intellectual excellence and preparation for a life of leadership and service. Today, Le Moyne has evolved into a nationally acclaimed college of liberal arts and sciences that draws students from across the U.S. and abroad.
Banerjee is Le Moyne College’s HR Lead on diversity, equity, and inclusion work, including climate development using the results from the recent campus climate survey. She is the HR liaison to the Provost Council on Diversity, the International Faculty Committee, and the Racial Justice Committee. Banerjee also serves as the College’s Affirmative Action/EEO Officer and provides labor relations for the adjunct union.
Banerjee joined Le Moyne from Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in Jersey City, N.J., where she served as Director of Human Resources. Prior to this role, Banerjee worked for the Public Employees Federation and the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
Banerjee holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Toronto, and a master’s in clinical social work from New York University.
