Tiara D. Muse

Tiara D. Muse brings a broad range of search experience in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors to her clients.

Tiara leverages her expertise in C-suite leadership to partner with clients and guide candidates as a member of Koya Partners and the Diversified Search Group’s CEO practice. She also advises clients seeking to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Prior, Tiara was with a national boutique search firm specializing in healthcare. At Furst Group, as a Consultant and Director of Research, she was involved with recruiting C-suite and senior-level leaders for a broad range of clients including payers, providers, academic medical centers, and PE-backed companies. She led a number of enterprise-wide operational initiatives and developed the company’s first summer internship program.

Tiara began her career at Spencer Stuart, a leading global executive search firm. As a member of Spencer Stuart’s Healthcare Services Practice, she worked in recruiting, research and business development.

Earlier, at the Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Tiara worked as a Researcher on several national studies funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

She has also worked in the Office of Health Disparities at the American Cancer Society in Atlanta, where she helped develop national strategic corporate partnerships and built cultural competence around social determinants of health.

Tiara serves as President-Elect and Planning Committee Chair for the National Association of Healthcare Services Executives (NAHSE) Chicago-Midwest Chapter. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the American Public Health Association (APHA).

Tiara has presented on the Essential Competencies in Leadership Development for Transformational Public Health Leaders at APHA’s national conference and has written about organizational advantages of authentic leadership.

Tiara was named Woman of Impact during the Go Red for Women campaign by the American Heart Association – Chicago in 2022.

With a long and deep commitment to the United Way and the communities it serves, Tiara is on the Women’s Executive Council for United Way of Metro Chicago. She has also led the CEO searches for United Way of Northwest Indiana, United Way of Central Indiana, Metro United Way and partners closely with other organizations across the country to address the social determinants of health.

Dedicated to mentoring youth, Tiara is frequently asked to speak on topics related to education, career readiness, and self-esteem.
