Since 2011, Matthew has managed searches in a variety of sectors in higher education for multiple positions, including presidents, chancellors, vice presidents, academic librarians, and deans, among others. He is one of the leading search consultants in the field of academic libraries.
Additionally, Matthew has written on issues facing academic leaders and higher education, and he contributed to the 2017 volume Leading in the New Academic Library.
Recently, Matthew has conducted library leadership assignments for American University, Case Western Reserve University, Duke University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Dartmouth College, and Amherst College. In previous years, he has helped guide searches for Lehigh University, Colgate University, Lafayette College, Carleton College, Skidmore College, among others. He is based in Burlington, Vermont.
Before entering the executive search sector, Matthew was the Publisher and Director of Business Development for Triad Design Services, Inc. For the past 40 years, Triad has produced manuals and publications for the military, aerospace, industrial, and technology industries. In that role, Matthew launched and managed a consumer magazine publishing division for five years.
Prior to his role with Triad, Matthew co-founded and managed College Street Publishing, Inc. College Street specialized in publishing consumer magazines as well as serving as a full-service advertising agency.
