Marisa is a lifelong learner who believes in the transformative power of community-led change. She is deeply committed to promoting marginalized voices and empowering underrepresented leaders to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable future for all.

Marisa draws upon her experiences as an educator, artist, and activist to build inclusive environments that support collaborative learning, growth, and change.

Prior to joining Koya Partners – a part of Diversified Search Group – Marisa led recruitment and hiring efforts at Breakthrough Providence, a nationally affiliated nonprofit focused on providing out-of-school-time programs for academically motivated middle school students and building a pipeline of young educators. Marisa is a former middle and high school teacher who has supported graduate and international programs in Brown University’s Department of Education.

Beyond Koya, Marisa teaches restorative movement to communities in need and supports local youth development projects.
