Danielle Mebert, EdD

Senior Associate

Associate, Education, Executive Search, Vice President and Senior Search Associate

Danielle Mebert joined Storbeck Search | Diversified Search Group as a Senior Search Associate, bringing with her two decades’ worth of experience in secondary and higher education. Prior to joining Storbeck, Danielle spent eight years in various roles at New York University, most recently as the inaugural Manager, Academic Advising for the BFA in Film and Television Production at Tisch School of the Arts, where she laid the foundation of the department’s first professional academic advising office.

Her professional experience has taken Danielle from the middle school classroom to the college student recruitment circuit to the academic advising office. She has successfully defended theses on the prosody of French poetic forms in contemporary English and attrition of higher education administrators in student-focused roles. Her doctoral dissertation examined how perceptions of belonging and inclusion are impacted by the relationship college students have with their academic advisors. During her time in higher education, Danielle devoted her time to volunteering on IDBEA committees, mentoring colleagues, and liaising with the NYU Naughty Knitters and the New York City Department of Homeless Services to facilitate donation and transportation of handmade hats and scarves.

Danielle is a proud Korean-American adoptee, first generation college graduate, and lifelong New Yorker.
