Freeman Dean of the Kenneth W. Freeman College of Management. The Dean will be a visionary, courageous, seasoned and collaborative leader who will play a central role in shaping the success, growth and future of the Freeman College of Management.
The new Dean of the Freeman College will have the extraordinary opportunity to lead an eminent, AACSB-accredited college as it builds upon its considerable successes and charts a course for the future. Established in 2017 as a stand-alone college, the Freeman College builds upon the foundation of a century of management education at Bucknell. It is distinguished by its focus on the undergraduate experience, interdisciplinary approach, teacher-scholar model and historic rise as one of the best undergraduate business programs in the country. The next dean of the Freeman College will have the opportunity to build upon the strong momentum of University leadership support, expand a growing collection of resources and navigate extremely high enrollment demand.
As the chief administrative and academic officer of the Freeman College, the Dean is responsible for the teaching, research and service missions of the college. While overseeing the college’s operations, policies and procedures, the new Dean will lead the college into its next phase of development — one that is focused on meeting outsized student demand, collaborating extensively across the institution and expanding the interdisciplinary portfolio of offerings.
Home to over 700 students and more than 50 faculty and staff, the Freeman College comprises four academic departments: Accounting & Financial Management, Analytics & Operations Management, Management & Organizations, and Markets, Innovation and Design. Majors include accounting, business analytics, finance, management & organizations, and markets, innovation & design. The college also offers several minors including accounting, business analytics, entrepreneurship, human resource management and real estate.
