The Opportunity
After a successful 5-year strategic plan, Comunilife has entered a new stage in their program evolution. On the heels of broadening their regions across New York City, expanding their signature Life is Precious and Medical Respite programs, Comunilife is strategically investing in resources to endure the sustainability, quality, and impact of their programs and services. Now, we seek a mission-oriented Vice President of Programs (VP) to join us in delivering high-quality programs and services that effectively meet the needs of more than 3,000 homeless and low-income New Yorkers.
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer (CPO), the VP supports program innovation, management, and business operations for our thriving community of staff, leadership, community partners. Responsible for program management, facilitating the implementation of Comunilife’s Quality Improvement Program, and assessing the quantity and quality of services provided to clients, highlighted responsibilities include:
- Program Integration
- Program Leadership and Innovation
- Staff Supervision
- Represent Comunilife and its programs to external audiences
*This role requires travel across NYC boroughs. Please note that the VP is required to be present across multiple program sites and Comunilife headquarters.
Candidate Profile

- Knowledge and hands-on experience in providing direct services related to the treatment and recovery of persons with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, serious mental illness, and homelessness preferred.
- Graduate degree in social work, public administration, business administration, or another related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Comunilife offers outstanding career opportunities for people who want to make a difference in their community.
The salary for this position is $165,000. Comunilife offers an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision as well as other great benefits , such as 4 weeks’ vacation and 12 paid holidays and 12 paid sick days.
Note that the final salary will reflect internal equity and the selected candidate’s individual experiences and qualifications.
