CHICAGO — Margaret Resce Milkint, a seasoned talent strategist, DEI champion, and evangelist for talent innovation, transformation, and excellence, has joined Diversified Search Group (DSG) as a Managing Director and Leader of the Global Insurance Practice. She will be based out of DSG’s office in the historic Civic Opera Building in Chicago.
Milkint comes to DSG with 35 years of experience in the search industry. Her stellar search career has focused on insurance and healthcare in the C-suite, most notably in filling CEO, COO, CFO, Chief Actuary, CIO, CRO, and Chief Medical Officer/Physician Executive roles; she has also done considerable work in the boardroom. She brings deep experience in the property and casualty, life, health, and reinsurance sectors, including insurtech, and has successfully conducted searches in actuarial, analytics, underwriting, claims, operations, risk, finance, investment, legal, technology, sales/distribution, and marketing.
“Margaret brings not only a wealth of experience, but also so much more,” Dale E. Jones, the firm’s CEO, said in making the announcement. “Her strategic thinking, unparalleled market knowledge, and emotional intelligence will be invaluable assets as we recruit and place tomorrow’s leaders in healthcare and insurance.”
“DSG offers me an exciting opportunity to combine my passions in search and in advancing DEI in the insurance and healthcare sectors,” added Milkint. “This is the right time for heightened commitment in delivering search excellence with intentional action, courage, and empathy as we move forward in leadership transformation. I am honored to join the DSG team and continue my journey.”
Milkint is a trustee and board chair for The Actuarial Foundation, and also serves as a board member for the Museum of Broadcast Communications and for the Executive Sisterhood, an organization promoting female leadership in business. She also serves as a member of the advisory council of UpSpiral Leadership, a custom leadership and organizational development firm, and as an advisory council member for the Women’s Business Collaborative. A champion for diversity, inclusion, and intersectionality in the insurance industry, she serves as the U.S. Chair of ISG, a global business community for women in insurance, and as the Chair of the Women in Insurance Initiative for Million Women Mentors/STEMconnector, where she is the recipient of their Champion of Industry Award.
Prior to joining the executive search field, Milkint began her career at Allstate Insurance Company, where her passion for the insurance industry was ignited. A proud member of the Latinx community, Milkint is an active pro-bono industry speaker, moderator, and thought leader.
“As someone who has been a strong advocate for women in business since the founding of the firm, I am always thrilled to welcome an outstanding, accomplished woman into our company,” said Judith M. von Seldeneck, the Founder and Chair of Diversified Search Group. “Margaret’s key leadership abilities and experience – and her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, which mirror our own – will be invaluable.”
