Methodist Health System includes four acute care hospitals in the metro area, three joint venture specialty hospitals, nearly 30 health centers, as well as a foundation. The four acute care hospitals have a combined total of 1,200 beds with 585 beds located in the flagship, Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Position Overview

This position is responsible for accounting, budgeting and financial reporting for MHS and its wholly owned affiliates and subsidiaries. The Senior Vice President, Finance oversees and is accountable for the areas of Corporate Tax, Corporate Accounting, Subsidiaries, Foundations and Affiliate Accounting, and Governmental reimbursement. The SVP serves as Chair of the Billing and Coding Committee and participates on the Corporate Compliance Committee, the Corporate Business Ethics Committee, and others. The SVP directs the preparation of reports which summarize and forecast the system’s business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. The SVP directs the preparation of financial budget targets for MHS operating divisions. This position represents MHS’s interests by serving on committees of the Texas Hospital Association, participating in activities of the Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council, and the Texas Voluntary Hospital Association.


  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
  • Ten plus years of industry experience demonstrating increasing management responsibility.
  • Minimum of five years of financial/accounting experience in a health care system.
  • The successful candidate will be in the lead position to be considered for the CFO position within an intermediate timeframe.
