Associate Vice Provost for Operations, Access Services and Strategic Partnerships

The University of Pennsylvania Libraries seeks a creative, experienced, and forward-thinking leader to develop and implement effective strategies for its Access Services and Resource Sharing, Technical Services, Facilities, Operations and Capital Planning, Research Annex (LIBRA, an offsite high-density storage facility), and Impact Assessment and Organizational Analysis in support of Penn’s mission. In a rapidly changing information landscape, the Associate Vice Provost for Operations, Access Services and Strategic Partnerships (AVP/OAP) will participate and lead University priorities in support of the Libraries’ strategic partnerships with local, national, and international organizations.

In addition to leading approximately 100 staff and coordinating library services across the Libraries, the AVP/OAP serves as a critical member of the Vice Provost and Director of the Libraries’ collaborative senior leadership team. The AVP/OAP will have the opportunity to participate in wide-ranging strategic planning, policy development, and resource allocation decisions and to contribute to the overall advancement of the Libraries’ programs and services in keeping with the mission and vision of the University.
