Chief Financial Officer

  • The Iowa Clinic
  • West Des Moines, IA

The Iowa Clinic was formed in 1994 and is the largest physician owned multi-specialty group in Central Iowa with more than 250 physicians and healthcare providers practicing in 40+ specialties.  Locally owned by doctors living and working in the communities they serve.  At the Iowa Clinic decisions about patient care are determined by their patients and their physician, not a larger corporate entity. Independence and control of patient care brought The Iowa Clinic together in 1994, and it is what keeps them together today.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plans, organizes, directs, interprets, coordinates, monitors, records and administers the financial activities of The Iowa Clinic Management Company (TMC), The Iowa Clinic, P.C. (TIC) and other entities as assigned including, but not limited to, finance, accounting, internal controls and auditing.  The CFO works with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors to set and monitor achievement of financial goals.

The Chief Financial Officer makes recommendations for continuing improvement of the financial health of the institution and other related entities as applicable and serves in an advisory capacity to management and the Board of Directors in fiscal decision-making.  The CFO assumes overall accountability for the departments of Finance, Managed Care, Analytics and others as assigned and  may assume administrative responsibility in the absence of the CEO and/or Chief Operating Officer (COO).
