CEO/President/Executive Director/Head of School, Foundations and Philanthropy, Nonprofit and Social Impact

  • The Indianapolis Foundation
  • Indianapolis, IN

As one of the first community foundations in the United States, The Indianapolis Foundation has worked to seize opportunities to improve the quality of life in Marion County since 1916.

In 1997, The Indianapolis Foundation partnered with Hamilton County Community Foundation, then known as the Legacy Fund, to form Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). This partnership has led to a regional approach to grant-making initiatives in Central Indiana and provides a more comprehensive suite of services to fund holders. In 2018, the three foundations refined their missions to work, with and for the community, to become anti-racist, multicultural organizations.

The next President will take a comprehensive view of The Indianapolis Foundation’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities. They will also embrace becoming a model foundation affiliate, with a focus on racial justice and equity-based philanthropy for sustainable change within the communities of Marion County and Indianapolis.

The annual base salary for this role will be based on a range, starting at $225,000 – $280,000, plus bonus commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
