Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is a health care delivery system comprised of 15 hospitals and an integrated physician network across Illinois and Wisconsin. With nearly 2,300 physician partners, and more than 15,000 colleagues, HSHS is committed to its mission “to reveal and embody Christ’s healing love for all people through our high-quality Franciscan health care ministry.”
Hospital Sisters Health System’s St. Nicholas Hospital is a 185-bed community hospital and is part of the system’s Wisconsin division. The hospital has grown and, in recent years, St. Nicholas’s relationship with Prevea Health has expanded primary and specialty care options, strengthening their healthcare services even more. In 2002, a new Emergency Department was constructed and in 2009, the Sheboygan Surgery Center was added on campus.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of St. Nicholas Hospital will provide administrative direction and coordination of the nursing service functions of the hospital including supervision of all nursing personnel. This leader will be responsible for budgeting and performance objectives and support a Franciscan culture. They will provide administrative leadership, managerial supervision, and resource support to improve the effectiveness of the hospital’s patient care services. The CNO will also oversee the business operations of the affiliate and exercise discretion and independent judgment.
