Position Overview
Great Lakes Orthopaedic Center (GLOC) is located in the heart of Northern Michigan; its depth of surgical specialties allows GLOC to offer comprehensive care on a world-class level. With board-certified surgeons and a highly trained team, GLOC continues to research and advance leading practice for the benefit of patients. GLOC’s on-site Physical Therapy and Orthotics departments work closely with surgeons and physicians to assess and treat patients before and after surgeries. With locations in Traverse City, Kalkaska, Cadillac, Grayling, Charlevoix, and Manistee, GLOC provides its patients with numerous venues for care. In March 2020, GLOC opened a new ambulatory surgery center in partnership with another orthopaedic group. It boasts two operating rooms, a procedure room, and pre and post-operative areas.
Great Lakes Orthopaedics is recruiting for an experienced, innovative health care executive with the ability to balance strategic decisions and financial discipline with a hands-on approach to leadership, resulting in strong employee, patient, and physician satisfaction.
The successful candidate should be an engaging communicator and relationship builder with experience in leading management initiatives that have contributed to the success of a similar-sized clinical practice across a variety of measures including practice growth, operational efficiency and effectiveness, employee retention, growth and engagement and optimizing physician collaboration and engagement in the practice.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited university with a degree in healthcare management or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an administrator in a multi physician healthcare clinic. Master’s Degree (MBA or similar) preferred
Significant senior leadership experience in an agile, high-performing organization, experience within Orthopaedic services is strongly preferred
