We are excited to share the news of the launching of Boston Medical Center’s Brockton Behavioral Health Center.  Our brand new, environmentally sustainable inpatient facility is comprised of an 82-bed psychiatric unit which includes 56 acute inpatient psychiatric beds for patients 16 years and older, and 26 stabilization beds for patients 18 years and older.   We are a mission-driven organization and are dedicated to serving the needs of our community with dignity and professionalism.

We are seeking inpatient psychiatrists to join the team at the new Brockton Behavioral Health Center and will offer:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience with the potential to earn up to 350K salary
  • $20,000 sign-on bonus

Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join a new inpatient behavioral health campus in Brockton where we’re developing a state-of-the-art individualized recovery experience for patients. Inpatient psychiatrists will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based exceptional care to patients. Candidates who have an interest in working with patients who come from underserved populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Teaching opportunities will be available and physicians are eligible for faculty appointments at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Recently opened in October 2022, the completely remodeled Brockton Behavioral Health Center (“Brockton”) will serve as Boston Medical Center’s (BMC) new inpatient behavioral health campus in Brockton, Massachusetts. BMC is the largest safety–net hospital and leading provider of 24/7 behavioral health and crisis services in New England.

Brockton will primarily serve adult patients but will have some accommodation for adolescent care. This 82-bed facility will house two secure 28-bed inpatient adult psychiatric units and one 26-bed clinical stabilization unit devoted to treating patients who require services related to substance use disorders.

Qualifications

  • Current valid unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain license).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Current valid DEA certificate and MA Controlled Substances certificate (or ability to obtain MA Controlled Substances certificate).
  • No Medicare or Medicaid Sanctions.

Education

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy Degree or the foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry.
