Position Overview

The Assistant Vice President of Clinical Information Technology is the lead strategist for clinical information technologies as part of the broader University strategic technology roadmap. Under executive direction, the Assistant Vice President is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of clinical information systems to support clinicians in the delivery of patient care. The role oversees all clinical applications and systems not provided centrally through Information Technology Services. In collaboration with the Compliance Office, Privacy Office, and Information Security, the Assistant Vice President regularly assesses health information compliance of related information technology systems. The Assistant Vice President reports to the University Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Innovation Officer with a dotted line report to the SLUCare Chief Executive Officer.


  • A Master’s degree supplemented with six years of related director or managerial experience including clinical information technology management experience.
