Acclaim Physician Group, Inc., a partner with JPS Health Network is seeking a Medical Director of Inpatient Obstetrics for the Women and Infants service line. JPS Health Network is anchored by John Peter Smith Hospital, a 578-bed, Level I Trauma teaching hospital founded in 1905 to care for the underserved. Today, JPS Health Network maintains 12 sponsored residency training programs, making it the largest medical training institution in Fort Worth, Texas. Acclaim Physician Group, Inc. was created in 2015 as a multi-specialty medical practice group designed to align clinical providers with a common set of incentives and expectations supporting operational, financial, and clinical performance improvement. The group is made up of over 500 providers who treat patients at John Peter Smith Hospital, JPS medical homes and school-based health centers as well as the Acclaim Ben Hogan Bone & Joint Institute.

Acclaim Physician Group Inc. provides services and support for women who are seeking prenatal care, childbirth services, and well-woman care at every stage of life. JPS Health Network has been designated as a Level IV institution for Maternal Care, the highest designation possible in Texas, and supports a fully accredited four-year Obstetrics and Gynecology training program at both John Peter Smith Hospital and Harris-Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Physician Executive Women and Infants/Chair OB/GYN, the Medical Director will be responsible for the planning, organizing, management, coordination and implementation of all clinical quality improvement initiatives applicable to inpatient obstetrics. The Director facilitates quality improvement teams working to improve patient satisfaction and is responsible for assuring quality and patient satisfaction/experience endeavors within the department align with Acclaim and JPS Health Network.

Qualifications

  • Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology with additional training and experience providing care to critically ill pregnant patients.
