Houston Methodist is seeking a board-certified primary care physician to serve as Ambulatory Associate Program Director (APD), Internal Medicine Residency. The APD will supervise Internal Medicine residents in the resident Primary Care Clinic. This is a clinical faculty position in an outpatient setting with a strong focus on academic responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in teaching and precepting residents, experience in graduate medical education, and skills in research or quality improvement focused on ambulatory care.
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) and active board certification in Internal Medicine
- Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in TX
- At least three years of participation as an active faculty member in an Internal Medicine residency program
- Effective supervisory skills, including clinical mentoring and coaching
