
Davidson College seeks a collaborative and experienced leader to serve as the next Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Reporting to the Vice President and General Counsel, the CHRO strategically leads the Office of Human Resources to provide exceptional service to the Davidson College community. The CHRO is responsible for the development and implementation of human resource policies and practices that advance the core educational and operational objectives of the institution. Working collaboratively with leaders across the campus, the CHRO will oversee an effective, innovative, and responsive human resources operation and will promote a high-performing, diverse, and productive culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent in support of Davidson’s distinctive mission and strategic plan.
The CHRO serves as a member of senior leadership and partners with divisional leaders to define strategic direction and prepare policies, processes and workforce to meet strategic goals in alignment with Davidson’s mission. The CHRO directs the Human Resources functions of the college including employment, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee data, employee relations, student employment, and HR legal compliance.
The CHRO provides leadership for a team of 10 professional staff and manages an annual compensation budget of $67.7 million plus a benefits budget of $20.5 million to support almost 2,000 regular, temporary, and student employees.
