Senior Assistant Dean for Graduate Admissions, Gabelli School of Business

Fordham University seeks an innovative leader to serve as the Senior Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions (SAD) at the Gabelli School of Business. The SAD is an experienced, strategic, and relationship-oriented leader responsible for developing the vision for recruiting and enrolling students across the graduate program portfolio (MBA, EMBA, Professional MBA, and MS) of the Gabelli School of Business. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives and Executive Director of Operations and overseeing the Office of Graduate Admissions, the Senior Assistant Dean works with the leadership team to set a continuously evolving strategy grounded in best practices to respond to changing market demands and reach enrollment goals, leads the graduate admission team to implement that approach, and holds ultimate responsibility for enrollment results. The SAD develops and manages the area’s functions, including marketing, candidate assessment/evaluation, systems/analytics, and the strategic management of the team and budget.
The Senior Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions (SAD) assumes a major role in decision-making and policy formulation to build balanced and diverse classes that represent the Gabelli School’s strategic priorities. The Senior Assistant Dean will proactively nurture productive relationships across the faculty, administration, student, alumni, and corporate partner populations. They will guide the implementation of a new CRM and develop and execute comprehensive marketing and recruitment strategies, including for online programs that are transitioning to exclusive oversight by the Gabelli School. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives and Executive Director of Operations and leading a high performing team of 10 full time plus additional part time staff, the SAD is responsible for the oversight of the Office of Graduate Admissions at the Gabelli School of Business, one of the nation’s top graduate business schools.
The SAD possesses a deep understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges within graduate enrollment and a demonstrated record of successfully meeting enrollment goals in the evolving and competitive student market. The SAD will possess strong analytical skills, proven strategic planning experience, and an ability to generate excitement about the Gabelli School’s programs and mission.
