GSGCNWI is one of the largest of more than 100 Girl Scout councils in the country. It was created in 2008 with the merger of seven independent councils, and its geographic area spans 245 communities in six Illinois and four Indiana counties. GSGCNWI impacts the lives of more than 30,000 current girl members ages 5-17 through powerful leadership development programs. GSGCNWI continues to extend their reach and impact to all girls throughout their geography.

THE OPPORTUNITY
GSCNWI is seeking a top tier fund development and marketing professional to lead its development and marketing functions during this period of growth and transformation. The Chief External Affairs Officer (CEAO) will be a visionary, seasoned, and strategic leader who will thrive working in a changing and fast-paced environment.
GSCNWI has relied on its corporate, foundation, and individual partners to create sustainable social impact, leveraging both private and public investors. GSCNWI has ambitious fundraising goals for growth over the next 3 plus years. A focus on establishing multi-year contributions, identifying new funding sources, elevating the brand in the market, and managing ongoing relationships and donors will be expected.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief External Affairs Officer (CEAO) will serve as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting GSCNWI. In partnership with the CEO, this position is responsible for all fund development and marketing activities.
