Lawrence University invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Vice President of Finance. The AVP will report to the VP for Finance and Administration and will join Lawrence University during an exciting period of renewal and reinvention for the University.

The Associate Vice President of Finance will support the VPFA in their efforts to wisely steward assets, manage risk carefully, and provide vision for the financial future of the University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and business operations and be a leader who is transparent, communicative, and supportive. Experience and core expertise in long-range planning, strategic financial forecasting and analysis, and business process improvements are essential.
Reporting to the Vice President for Finance & Administration, the Associate Vice President of Finance (AVP) leads the Financial Services team and is responsible for the design, direction and reporting of financial forecasting, annual budgeting, and multi-year strategic planning models for the University. The AVP works with colleagues across campus to develop or refine tools for scenario analysis, revenue streams, personnel models, and operating and capital expenses. This position leads a team of 6 FTEs, with the Controller and Assistant Director of Budget & Planning being direct reports.
