About The diaTribe Foundation
An estimated 130 million adults in the US are now living with diabetes or prediabetes, and 642 million adults worldwide are expected to have diabetes by 2040. Because there is no single solution to the diabetes epidemic, the diaTribe Foundation uses multiple strategies to improve the lives of people affected by diabetes through education, advocating for action, and convening multiple stakeholders to work together to address this crisis.
As a growing national nonprofit organization, we are working to create political and cultural shifts to make reducing the burdens of diabetes, or eliminating the disease entirely, a priority for industry, healthcare providers, government, nonprofits, and patients.
Our weekly news publication, Learn — with over 400,000 subscribers and our website diatribe.org, which reaches nearly 4.5 million people every year — educates and supports people with diabetes and the people who care about them to live happier, healthier, and more hopeful lives. In addition, we seek to amplify the patient voice to the regulatory and policy makers. Finally, as a highly networked and deeply respected organization, we convene the brightest minds across many different sectors to solve this epidemic.
As the organization continues to grow and identify new opportunities for impact, we are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to play a critical role in leading the organization. As a partner to the CEO and a significant resource for the senior management team, the Chief Operating Officer will provide internal leadership and management to the entire organization.
