About Lift Our Voices
More than 60 million Americans are silenced and unable to share their toxic workplace experiences…with their colleagues, friends, and even their families - and that number is rising.
Lift Our Voices (LOV) was founded to eradicate silencing mechanisms in the workplace, and we won’t stop until every single worker feels safe, respected, and included.
Founders Gretchen Carlson and Julie Roginsky launched LOV in 2019 to transform the American workplace, making it safer and more equitable for everyone. By organizing communities to change laws and policies, including advocating for the elimination of forced arbitration and non-disclosure agreements -- tools that silence victims -- advocating for survivors, and promoting awareness for a safer and more inclusive workplace environment, LOV is helping to rewrite the rules to ensure every worker has a voice. We protect American workers by eradicating the laws and business practices that prevent employees from publicly discussing and disclosing toxic workplace conditions.
Spearheading two federal landmark bills hailed as among, “the biggest labor law changes in the last 100 years,” LOV is recognized as the leading organization fighting to eradicate workplace toxicity.
But there is more to do. Too often, workers are prevented from disclosing other toxic workplace experiences like discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability. They too are being silenced through forced arbitration and NDAs. Lift Our Voices will not rest until everyone is able to speak our truths without fear of retaliation.

LOV is seeking a skilled Executive Director (ED) with vision, commitment, and the desire to be on the ground floor of building an organization and a social justice movement.
Reporting to the two founders, the ED will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for LOV’s strategic planning, programs, development, research and data projects, growth, and execution of its mission.
We understand that a single candidate may not offer every single desired skill, experience, and characteristic, and encourage candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences who feel they offer a strong fit with the profile outlined below to express interest.
It’s critical that the ED be passionate about and committed to LOV’s mission and see this work as a social justice imperative. Strong candidates will also bring a demonstrated track record of leadership and management, fundraising, and the ability to serve as a persuasive spokesperson for LOV and issues. Some travel will be required.
