About VCC Social Enterprises
Like any great success story, VCC Social Enterprises began with a vision: To create jobs, enhance the quality of life, and promote vibrant communities in historically excluded markets and regions.
VCC was established in 2006 as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) with an initial $15 million investment under Governor Mark R. Warner. The goal was to leverage that initial investment for an economic return to underserved areas. More than $2.4 million was originated across our first seven real estate development loans. Since then? Growth, expansion and partnership to VCC Social Enterprises.
Through the power of partnerships and leverage, we have turned that $15 million seed investment into over $1.9 billion of impact in Virginia and beyond. Over the years, VCC has become known for its ability to combine the resources of national, state, and local social investors into successfully funded projects. We are, many times, the “first in” on projects designed to positively impact marginalized communities and their members.
VCC is currently seeking an entrepreneurial and ambitious first-time Chief Growth and Revenue Officer (CGRO) to join other members of the executive team to execute on an exciting new strategic plan focusing on the expansion of customer segments and business partnerships. The CGRO will work alongside senior leadership to ensure profitability, strategy and alignment of the company’s revenue-generating departments and manage the business development function to drive growth across all customer segments. The CGRO will also be instrumental in executing a strategic plan for identifying and cultivating new opportunities for revenue across the enterprise. In partnership with the Board and staff and building on the organization’s strong foundation and track record, the CGRO will accelerate VCC’s impact, partnerships, and portfolio growth by building and sustaining relationships with diverse constituents.
