Director of the School of Applied Professional Studies
WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION.
The College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for the inaugural Director of the School of Applied Professional Studies.
The plan to reorganize CISA into three new schools is the result of a 16-month visioning and design collaboration, which included many listening sessions and working groups with broad participation. The three new schools will be: the School of Counseling and Counseling Psychology, the School of Applied Sciences and the Arts, and the School of Applied Professional Studies. This proposed redesign will align CISA’s structure with other ASU colleges and strengthen internal culture around shared purpose. It will also leverage and optimize CISA’s assets to best serve students and increase faculty opportunities. The establishment of the schools is pending Arizona Board of Regents and faculty governance final approvals, which are on-track to be completed by late March 2023.
The Director of the School of Applied Professional Studies will be an established and strategic leader whose academic accomplishments merit appointment as a full professor with tenure. The appointment will be located at the Polytechnic campus with oversight of programs at Polytechnic and Tempe campuses and online. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2023.
