The University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) seeks a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Vice Chancellor for Research (VCR). The VCR serves as the Chief Research Officer of the University and is charged with advancing the research mission of UC Santa Cruz by providing support services and resources that: enhance research and other creative endeavors; foster partnerships and collaborations with government, industry, and other research enterprises; develop infrastructure and policy that promote creativity and an entrepreneurial culture; provide policies and educational programs that promote a culture of innovation and the highest ethical standards; and communicate to the general public and state, national and international decision-makers the discoveries, innovations, creative expressions, and scholarship created by UC Santa Cruz.
