ABOUT FAMILY HOUSE
Family House serves as a home away from home for families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing physical comfort and emotional support, free from financial concerns.
Founded in 1981, Family House provides temporary housing to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the University of California San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital. Qualifying families live more than 50 miles from UCSF, and many live at or below the low-income status as determined by UCSF. Since its founding, Family House has served more than 50,000 families.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the next CEO of Family House will provide strategic and innovative leadership to guide the organization on its continued commitment to serve critically ill children and their families from all over the world who are being treated in San Francisco.
The CEO will be a highly visible face of the organization, both externally as well as internally, and will represent Family House in the donor, partner, and UCSF hospital community. The CEO will set and articulate a clear vision for the organization and will embrace Family House’s desire to expand its reach.
Internally, the CEO will provide strategic leadership to Family House while maintaining excellence in the content and delivery of its programming and services, ensuring the organization continues to adapt and innovate to best meet the needs of its families.
