Position Overview
The Division Chief provides administrative and clinical leadership for the division in alignment with the enterprise mission, vision, values, and goals. The Division Chief collaborates with many stakeholders including: division physicians, researchers, and clinicians; the Department Chair; physician leadership including other department chairs and division chiefs, the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief of Medical Staff, etc.; the division administrator; hospital executives, administrators, functions, and departments; hospital and medical group staff; leadership and administrators of the Saban Research Institute; the designated institutional official and teaching administration; administrators at USC and the Keck School of Medicine.
Qualifications
- An MD, MD/PhD degree (or equivalent).
- Board certification in Pediatric Surgery.
- Academic qualifications for appointment at the Associate or Professor level at Keck School of Medicine of USC
- Eligible for, or currently hold, a medical license in the state of California.
- Leadership skills and vision for enhancing the clinical and academic components of a multi-disciplinary division.
The base salary for this role is currently anticipated to range from $650,000 - $800,000, commensurate with experience and credentials. CHLA offers a competitive benefits package including comprehensive insurance and generous retirement plan.
