Division Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology


Rady Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, is seeking a Division Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology. The UC San Diego Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology is among the busiest pediatric practices in the county, serving children at the Rady Children’s Hospital via Rady Children’s Health.
The Division Chief will lead the division in clinical care, research, teaching, and educational programs at multiple sites with responsibility for all facets of the division’s administration and operations at Rady Children’s Hospital. The Chief will develop, in concert with the President, Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego and the UCSD Chair of Ophthalmology, a divisional vision and strategic plan consistent with the mission and message of Rady Children’s and UCSD School of Medicine.
Candidates must possess an MD/DO or MD/DO and PhD. Board certification in Ophthalmology is required, as well as having completed fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
Compensation: The expected median compensation for this role is $500,000 and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
