Dell Children’s Medical Center is the only dedicated freestanding pediatric facility and the premier healthcare provider for children and adolescents in the region. Dell Children’s is a truly one-of-a-kind place that gives Central Texas families access to a wide range of healthcare services. The 240-bed, Magnet designated hospital is the only American College of Surgeons Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Central Texas.
Dell Children’s is a part of Seton Healthcare Family, a faith-based nonprofit healthcare system that serves all of Central Texas. Seton is part of Ascension, the largest nonprofit health system in the nation and the world’s largest Catholic health system. Seton Healthcare Family has partnered with The University of Texas at Austin to support the development of the new Dell Medical School, the first medical school built on the foundation of a Tier 1 research university in nearly half a century and welcomed their first class in 2016. Dell Children’s Medical Center serves as the academic pediatric facility for Dell Medical School.
Position Overview
The President and Chief Executive Officer is responsible for sustaining the vitality of the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension Dell Children’s Medical Center & Dell Children’s North Hospital through effective and efficient operations. Reporting to the Ascension Texas President/CEO, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dell Children’s will be responsible for the development of a strategic and operating plan that addresses identified needs and opportunities and integrates mission, business, and finance considerations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of master’s degree in health or hospital administration, business administration, or a related field including a doctoral degree.
- A minimum of ten years of administrative experience in health-related organizations at progressively more responsible management levels.
