About OAW:
Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin (OAW) has a history of excellence. Founded more than 40 years ago by local orthopaedic physicians, OAW has grown to become Wisconsin's premier multi-physician orthopaedic practice. Today, OAW’s is Wisconsin’s largest physician-owned orthopedic practice offering physician subspecialties including hand and upper extremity, spine, total joint reconstruction, sports medicine, foot, and ankle surgery.
OAW possesses a team of 19 surgeons, along with an Orthopaedic Primary Care Physician, two Pain Management physicians, three Anesthesiologists, 16 physician extenders, and an Interventional Radiologist. Medical and surgical services at OAW are complemented by orthopaedic physician assistants, nurses, and other allied health professionals to aid patients post injury and post-surgery. Orthopaedic physicians at OAW share their knowledge, skills, and experience to the broader medical community through teaching and publishing at the local, regional, and national levels.

About the CEO Role:
OAW is recruiting an experienced, innovative health care executive with the ability to balance strategic decisions and financial discipline with a hands-on approach to leadership, resulting in strong employee, patient, and physician satisfaction.
The successful candidate should be an engaging communicator and relationship builder with experience in leading management initiatives that have contributed to the success of a similar-sized clinical practice across a variety of measures including practice growth, operational efficiency and effectiveness, employee retention and satisfaction, financial success and optimizing physician collaboration and engagement in the practice.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited university with a degree in healthcare management or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an executive in a multi-location healthcare clinic.
- Master’s Degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
- Significant senior leadership experience in an agile, high-performing physician lead organization, experience within orthopaedic services preferred.
