Seattle University (SU), a nationally ranked, independent, Jesuit-Catholic institution located in one of the world’s most vibrant and innovative cities, seeks an innovative and inspirational leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Nursing (CON). Candidates must bring a deep commitment to the ideals of service and social justice and exceptional undergraduate and graduate education in nursing and health care professions.
The next Dean will have the opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-looking leadership team at Seattle University led by President Eduardo Peñalver, who joined the University in 2021. As a member of a highly engaged and collaborative group of deans, many of whom are new to Seattle University, the Dean of the CON will shape the future strategic direction of the College by capitalizing on its strengths and identifying new areas of growth and innovation. Reporting to the Provost and working in collaboration with faculty, students, and staff, the Dean will build upon the many strengths of the CON to lead it into a new era of strategic growth and distinction within nursing and health professions education, practice, and research. The Dean will be a passionate champion of the significance and contributions of the nursing and health profession to the local, national, and international community.
