Koya | Diversified Search Group partnered with the San Francisco Ballet on the search for a Chief Marketing and Brand Officer.
SF Ballet’s mission is to share its joy of dance with the widest possible audience, both locally and around the world, and to provide the highest caliber of dance training in its School.
The search resulted in the appointment of Kim Lundgren to the role. Kim has over 30 years of expertise in marketing, brand, and growth strategies.
She most recently held the role of President at Greenberg Strategy, a $20M+ consumer insights and marketing consultancy. While there, she advised executives on marketing efforts from acquisition and retention, to content strategy and communications development, to performance metrics and analytics. Her key clients included some of the world’s foremost brands like Apple and Google, brands redefining their industries like Door Dash and Netflix, brands recognized for their DEI efforts like Microsoft and Nike, and purpose-forward brands like California Partners Project and Vital Farms. Her most recent work with ticket sales was last year with the LA Clippers.
Lundgren led a 70+ person cross-functional team in the U.S. and U.K., with roles in strategy, creative, marketing research/analytics, finance, project management, HR, and IT. In addition to winning a Best Places to Work award, she significantly grew revenue and EBITDA each year, helping the founder to sell the company in 2019 and staying on to manage the integration.
Prior to Greenberg, Lundgren established the digital marketing strategy practice for Accenture on the West Coast, held senior strategy positions at FCB and Interbrand, ran the offices of Hall & Partners (a brand and communications consultancy) in NY and Chicago, and was a key member of the marketing teams that launched Orbitz and introduced Crate & Barrel to the digital world.
She has spoken at AAAA (American Association of Advertising Agencies) conferences and taught classes at NYU Stern and Miami Ad School. Kim received her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a degree in Finance from the University of Illinois/Urbana-Champaign.
Lundgren is the Chair of Community Engagement for SF’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s and is on the Advisory Board of Aspire Education.
