
Koya | Diversified Search Group partnered with Communities In Schools ® on its Chief Advancement Officer search. Our work resulted in the placement of Janine Quijije, a seasoned fundraising professional with more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit development and executive leadership.
Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to empowering at-risk students to stay in school and on a path to a brighter future. Working directly inside more than 2,500 schools across the country, CIS connects kids to caring adults and community resources designed to help them succeed.
Quijije has a successful track record of designing and implementing fundraising and engagement strategies across campaigns and revenue streams. Prior to joining CIS, Quijije served as Deputy Executive Director of Mouse and the Chief Development Officer of the “I Have A Dream” Foundation. She also led fundraising efforts on behalf of other nonprofits including Children of Promise, NYC; Be The Match; the Child Mind Institute; and Harlem RBI.
Quijije holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College, City University of New York, and a Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School Executive Education.
