Koya Leadership Partners is delighted to have placed Elizabeth (Elee) Wood as the Nadine and Robert A. Skotheim Director of Education and Public Programs, The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens.
The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens is a collections-based research and educational institution serving scholars and the general public.
Wood joins The Huntington with an extremely broad educational experience in the humanities as well as expertise in the visitor experience in museum settings. As Director of Education and Public Programs. Wood will oversee a staff of 13 and a volunteer corps of about 1,200.
Before joining The Huntington, Wood held several positions at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis, including Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Chair of the Museum Studies Program, and Professor of Museum Studies and Education. She also served as the Public Scholar of Museums, Families, and Learning at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and a master’s degree in education and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
